And so it’s back to a world where people say things like “populated the idea” without any irony, but on the whole it’s not so bad to be in harness when my fellow toilers are friendly.
As a result of my eventful holiday, I seem to have forgotten all the good intentions and grand plans I had for my team before the holiday break. I’ve spent most of the morning gathering them together, in spite of the constant interruption by meeting requests to discuss the discussion to be had at another meeting.
Today seems to be about sorting out income tax papers for most people and judging by the progress being made, it may well carry on for the rest of the week.
We kept ourselves going with refreshing glances at the 2009 holiday list – there’s one long weekend this month, one in March, one in May, one in April and three glorious ones in September!
